Images of brutality

Along with the testimonies of the survivors, a VR work documenting the place where 4,000 Dutch Jews were deported to, Bergen-Belsen, can be seen. The exhibition also asks whether shocking images and film footage of the Holocaust should be presented. Scholars, curators and researchers pose arguments both for and against the showing of such images. As part of this installation, viewers are invited to participate in the discussion which may affect what is shown in the future. It asks whether extremely shocking images that depict the dehumanisation and murder of victims should be shown as a reminder of the horrors of war.
