The 'Makers of North' exhibition puts craftsmanship in the spotlight. It presents 10 different makers from Noord with their stories about reuse, sustainability and traditional craftsmanship.

From large industries to small workshops, makership has always been an important part of Amsterdam North. Their future in the city is under pressure, partly due to gentrification. The good news is that many makers are still located in Amsterdam, and in North in particular.

Who are these makers of Noord, what do they make, and how does this contribute to the city, the neighborhood and our lives? We invite the visitor to think about the future of local craftsmanship.

Makers van Noord was created in collaboration with Museum Amsterdam Noord , Pakhuis de Zwijger and Centrinno .
