A homecoming exhibition
Born in Brussels, raised in the Netherlands and living in England, Audrey came to prominence for her award-winning roles in films such as Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Funny Face. The idea for this exhibition came to Sean when it became clear to him “that people were moved by Audrey’s humanitarian work and role as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF”.
It was this personal connection that he wanted to highlight in what has been described as a living biography. Speaking warmly of his mother, Sean notes how for many people, Audrey’s warmth made people feel as if she was “one of us”. Intimate Audrey brings together unpublished photographs, memorabilia, gowns and accessories that highlight her as a woman living a humble life. Also included are never before seen fashion drawings, humanitarian writings and poignant videos adding to the heartwarming ambience of the exhibition. It all comes together to make the audience feel as if they are a part of her extended family. Don’t miss this intimate portrait of an influential legend.
