Image making and the various perceptions

The Mauritshuis will organize an exhibition about image making and the various perceptions of Johan Maurits of Nassau-Siegen (1604-1679), for whom its building was named.

The exhibition will present a variety of perspectives on Johan Maurits, from his reputation as the governor of Dutch Brazil in the seventeenth century to contemporary interpretations of his life and work. The Mauritshuis invites visitors to the exhibition to form and share their viewpoints.
