A journey through time

With images from as early as the 1930s, the exhibition features documentary photos of pre-war street life in Amsterdam's Jewish quarter, the persecution of the Jews during the Second World War, the reconstruction of Jewish life afterwards as well as conceptual photography from our own time.

The Jewish Museum has bought and received a lot of work from professional photographers in recent decades. The ever-growing collection tells a special story of almost a century about the Jewish community, culture and history in the Netherlands.

The exhibition features photos by more than 40 photographers.
