Photography of the human body

Clandestien showcases photography by approximately 60 artists, including Diane Arbus, Horst P. Horst, Arlene Gottfried, Graciela Iturbide, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diana Blok, Helmut Newton and Man Ray. This concerns original prints, contemporary prints (including silver on gelatin, photo engraving), collages and photo montages.

Pedro Slim's photo collection occupies a unique place in photography. In 1985 Slim started collecting photos in which the human body plays a central role. With his collection, Slim points to the power of images and tries to transform and break open the blueprint that dictates what is feminine, masculine, androgynous or trans. Pedro Slim's collection consists of more than 300 vintage prints and has rarely been exhibited.
