Chagall, Picasso, Mondriaan and others

Chagall, Picasso, Mondrian and others: Migrant Artists in Paris brings together the work of a group of artists who were all foreign artists living in the city between 1900 and 1950, a time of great upheaval. The exhibition highlights the way these artists found their place, and who dared to create and take their art to new levels. Despite the challenges of the time, and a society that was increasingly polarised, nationalistic and xenophobic, these artists strived to create powerful work.
