Once upon a time, post offices were hotbeds of activity and in the Netherlands, many were also beautifully designed. The exhibition at Museum Het Schip put the focus on the last remain 1920s post office designed by Michel de Klerk. In 1999, the post office closed up shop leaving the post office to Museum Het Schip. It’s been lovingly restored with rich greens and blues and linseed oil paints. Along with the interior, you can also see drawings and other works.
