Rembrandt's life and work

The exhibition brings to light a number of themes that Rembrandt was fascinated with along with many self-portraits that showcase his growth as an artist. Subjects of his portraits include his mother, his family and acquaintances, and his wife Saskia who he portrays with empathy on her sickbed. He was also intrigued with beggars, street musicians, vagrants and actors.
