Het Sieraad

This historic building opened in the 1920s as a trade school for the city’s working class. Situated right at the confluence of two canals in the west of Amsterdam, it packs a stunning view – as well as being pretty iconic in its own right – making it a fantastic place to wine and dine, or to host a meeting or event.

Historic architecture with a modern twist

Het Sieraad is a fantastic example of Amsterdam School architectural design – its curving brick façade is ominous and mesmerising at once.

In recent years it was provided a massive facelift, including an arching glass roof to create a stunning atrium, flooding the building’s central space with sunlight in summertime.

Inside there are three distinctive meeting rooms, all fitted with the latest AV technology and embracing natural light solutions. One of the most popular businesses active in the building is Café Edel, which has a fantastic waterside terrace as well as a distinctive and atmospheric interior.
