Oudste Houten Huis
The Oudste Houten Huis is a house in Edam, a town located north of Amsterdam. It was built in the 16th century and both its façade and shutters are almost entirely original.
This is rather remarkable
for the region and it's largely considered the oldest wooden house in
Edam. Impressively, it was spared from many fires and even legislation
that wooden buildings be replaced by stone properties to reduce the
