In 1642 work was started on the construction of the church, a clandestine church since originally only the ‘Reformed religion’ was tolerated.

The church does not open for viewing.

A few times a year a church service is still held in the Lutheran church, for example Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday (children’s Easter Vigil) and several times a year for an evening service. See the website.

The church is occasionally used for funeral and wedding services and community gatherings.
