The Fashion for Good Young Innovators Lab is a learning space where kids get introduced to sustainable fashion and the solutions and exciting developments that will change the industry in the future. We do this as interactive as possible. Here, the kids (or innovators and designers of the future as we'd like to call them), can celebrate their birthdays, attend workshops and join educational programs. As part of our current museum theme A CUT ABOVE, our first Young Innovators Lab on November 29th is all about zero waste design!
During this workshop, you will discover what a zero-waste pattern is and how it is created by cutting out pattern pieces.With these pieces, you will first create a fashion design but also have to take a sustainable pattern making perspective in mind.Once you have solved the cutting and tracing puzzle it's time to make your own zero-waste pattern puzzle.This works as a modular design tool, enabling you to make and garment options at home as well!
