Helping visitors to shop tax free

VAT in the Netherlands is at 21%. To be eligible for a VAT reimbursement, you must be a resident of a non-EU country and spend at least €50 in one shop. To claim a VAT refund, you must follow three steps:
- During the purchase, ask for either an invoice made out to your name, listing your country of residence and passport number or a tax-free cheque where your details can be filled in.
- When flying out, before check-in visit Customs in Departure Hall 3 of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and present your invoices and purchases. Customs will validate your export with a stamp on your invoices.
- Drop off the validated invoices in our mailbox at Customs or visit our service desk in Departure Hall 3.

You can also send the validated invoices to, P.O.Box 75605, 1118 ZR Schiphol, The Netherlands. will then take care of the rest to ensure your VAT reimbursement.
