John Halvemaan likes to do things his way, marrying unique and unexpected flavours with enchanting results – such as his poultry scallop bathed in Romescu sauce with pomegranate syrup and chives, or his steak tartare that comes with chopped oyster. The restaurant is located in the middle of the Amstelpark, right on the water, with a lovely terrace shaded by trees and wide white umbrellas. A hidden gem of Buitenveldert, as much for the setting as the culinary experience.
