One thing that Amsterdam East has that the city centre sometimes feels lacking of is: space. And Amsterdam Roest makes good use of its plentiful real estate. The sandy waterside setting encourages punters to get their toes out in summer, and this is combined with a huge hall used for markets, film screenings and other (often child-friendly) events. The hall also adds some industrial charm to the city beach idyll. Roest’s café and bar offers a wide selection of drinks and snacks, so no beach bum has to go hungry.
