It’s all about men in the Tassenmuseum's new exhibition

From football players and hipsters to businessmen and metro men: a bag is an essential part of any outfit for today’s man. And although it may seem like a modern accessory, the ‘man bag’ is actually centuries old. The exhibition ‘It's a Men's World’ shines a light on the world of man bags, from historic belt purses to trendy, contemporary designs and male ‘it bags’. The exhibition explores the question of 'fashion or function' – in which cases does a man decide to carry a bag, and when does he use his pockets?

See ‘It's a Men's World’ at the Museum of Bags and Purses in Amsterdam from 11 March to 27 August 2017.
