Discussing the benefits of the 30% tax ruling

In light of a recent report by the Netherlands Court of Audit (Algemene Rekenkamer), the costs associated with 30% reimbursement ruling for highly skilled migrants amount to almost €7 million per year.

The report concludes that it is unclear whether or not the ruling meets its objectives, and points out some of its adverse effects, such as making Dutch employees less attractive to employers than internationals hired from abroad. Several political parties have also expressed the wish to abolish or substantially reduce the benefits of the ruling.

IN Amsterdam is an advocate for internationals working in Amsterdam and is interested in gathering arguments in support of the scheme. We would like to offer you the opportunity to participate in a study that will be conducted by Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency regarding the 30% ruling.
