As one of Amsterdam’s most loyal partners, IBC has built close ties with the city and its stakeholders, and likewise with the hospitality industry in Amsterdam. IBC and Amsterdam’s hotels have already worked together successfully for 24 years. The hotels affiliated with this partnership have been selected by IBC from Amsterdam’s three-, four- and five-star hotels. The continuation of this cooperation will contribute to the city’s development: over the past 10 years, the number of hotel rooms in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area has nearly doubled to 38,000 rooms, including 27,000 in the city and 7,000 in the environs of Schiphol Airport. In a joint initiative with IBC, the I amsterdam approved label was launched in 2015, as a guarantee of quality and price for the IBC exhibitor and visitor.
Hosted Buyer Programme “Insight Forum”
This year also sees the launch of the Hosted Buyer Programme, a VIP service for business visitors from around the world. Amsterdam hotels will offer a special package to these important visitors.
Since 1967, IBC has evolved to become the most influential event for professionals around the world engaged in the creation, management and delivery of electronic media. IBC is the industry’s premier event, attracting more than 55,000 participants from 170 countries. Since 1992, the IBC has been held every September in the RAI Amsterdam convention centre.
