Sekolah Indonesia di Nederland, The Embassy School of the Republic of Indonesia, (or simply the Indonesian School in The Netherlands), opened in 1965 to offer education to the children of Indonesian diplomats and military officers, and Indonesian children born and raised in the Netherlands. The main languages used are Indonesian and English and pupils typically follow the national curriculum of Indonesia. The curriculum includes Dutch, French and German language lessons. Pupils can also play football, basketball or tennis and take music lessons, including gamelan, the traditional Indonesian music. The school offers dormitory accommodation for students from outside The Netherlands or living far away from Wassenaar.
