On the way to a zero-emissions city
To improve its residents’ health and the city’s attractiveness and liveability, the City is taking strong action to promote electric transport and get rid of polluting vehicles. Amsterdam’s goal is to become a zero-emissions city by 2025. Subsidies for commercial electric vehicles are one of the measures taken by the City en route to reaching that goal.
Commercial vehicles that are 100% electric and cover significant distances in the city on a daily (or near-daily) basis are eligible for subsidies. Subsidies can also be applied for for plug-in hybrid cargo vans and buses that have a minimum electric range of 30 kilometres. For more information, see this page (in Dutch).
