From next year, cyclists in Amsterdam will be able to park for free at more of the City’s bicycle parking facilities. As of 1 January 2018, you will not have to pay for the first 24 hours of parking at any of these facilities:

  • Pathé de Munt
  • Paradiso
  • Zuidplein
  • Station RAI
  • Vijzelstraat

For those who park for longer, a daily cost of €1.25 applies, or you can pay an annual subscription of €75. You can park in a parking facility for a maximum of 28 days. To park a cargo bike or electric scooter costs €2.50 per day, though parking one of these types of bikes in the Vijzelstraat and Paradiso facilities will no longer be permitted from 1 January 2018. The rule changes are part of a new bicycle parking scheme which aims to standardise rules and prices at all City of Amsterdam and train station parking facilities across the city.
