Understanding the Dutch education system

During the seminar, IN Amsterdam and a number of special guests (including Young Expat Services) will discuss all you need to know about the Dutch education system and answer your questions. Learn more about the level of Dutch education compared to other Western countries, preschool, primary school, secondary school, bilingual and international schools, newcomers’ classes, after-school care and much more. Naturally, the focus will be on the education system and schools in the Amsterdam Area and you’ll have a chance to connect with fellow internationals.

Various topics will be covered, including:

  • Why choose an international, bilingual or Dutch school?
  • What’s the difference between various educational philosophies, like Montessori and Dalton?
  • How can I find the right school for my child?
  • What should I know about preschools and early childhood education?
  • What’s the CITO test?
