Dutch parliamentary elections

The next Dutch parliamentary election takes place on 17 March 2021. To be eligible to vote in most elections, you must be a Dutch national over the age of 18 and meet other criteria. The City of Amsterdam provides up-to-date information on receiving your voting pass, locations of polling stations and how to vote from abroad.

Voter safety during coronavirus

This year, the voting procedure has been adapted to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19). Voting will be spread across three days to allow more voters to enter polling booths safely. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive in the last seven days or are self-isolating, do not visit a polling booth and instead arrange to have another person vote for you via proxy. Residents aged over 70 can vote by post.
