Choose a card that fits the duration of your stay

Get the most out of your stay in Amsterdam by choosing a card that fits the duration of your stay. The more you visit, the more you save. The different variations of the card come in hours, not in full days, so you’re not dependent on full days, but can instead start using the card at any given moment.

Choose between home delivery, pick-up on arrival or have the card sent to your hotel

You can choose to have the City Card sent to your home address (via DHL), pick-up the card at arrival in Amsterdam (at Schiphol Airport or at Amsterdam Central station – you will find all the location details in the confirmation e-mail) or pick-up the Card at the hotel you’re staying in (if you’ve already booked your hotel).

Activation of your card

The City Card is made up of two elements. (1) free entrance to museums, attractions and a canal cruise, and (2) free access to public transport. The museums element of your card is automatically activated the first time you visit a museum, attraction or take a canal cruise. The public transport element is automatically activated the first time you use a tram, bus or metro. Each element can be activated and is then valid for 24, 48, 72, 96 or 120 hours respectively, depending on your card.

Groups and families

The City Card is intended for individual use. You can however order multiple cards (you’ll only have to fill out your own details and select the number of cards you’d like to order). There is no separate card for kids, however, a regular I amsterdam City Card offers significant savings at many children's attractions in Amsterdam.
