2022 EVENTS
The Next Web Conference 2022
The Next Web returned to Amsterdam for their annual flagship event at Taets Art and Event Park in June 2022. Attracting 10,000 attendees, The Next Web 2022 gathered tech enthusiasts and the industry’s most daring voices for a two-day festival packed with startup battles, meet-ups and industry talks to explore how tech can help shape the world of tomorrow.
The Amsterdam Convention Bureau– with StartupAmsterdam and Smart Health Amsterdam– supported The Next Web Conference with the ‘Amsterdam Pavilion’ lounging area featuring 12 Amsterdam-based startups. Read the full event showcase here.
2021 EVENTS
VRDays Europe 2021
Embracing the capabilities of VR technology, the VRDays event in November 2021 linked the physical and virtual worlds with an in-person event in Amsterdam and immersive conferences for global attendees.
World Summit AI 2021
The World Summit AI 2021 was one of the first major business events held in Amsterdam after restrictions on live events were lifted. Around 1,000 people attended the fifth anniversary event in-person, with thousands more joining online.
MozFest 2021
International tech event MozFest experienced its most successful edition ever in Amsterdam in March 2021, with the support of Amsterdam Convention Bureau (ACB).
2020 EVENTS
What should have been an exciting event and congress year for the city of Amsterdam, with big events like SAIL2020 and UEFA2020, turned out to be a silent year for the whole world. ACB was happy to support the following Life Sciences and Health congresses that went virtual for this year:
European Society of Cardiology Congress
ESC Congress is the world’s largest gathering of cardiovascular professionals and focuses on the latest clinical trials and breakthrough discoveries in the field. It brings together more than 30,000 medical healthcare professionals from more than 120 countries, with seminars, talks and presentations on how to advance cardiovascular medicine and help people lead longer, healthier lives.
United European Gastroenterology (UEG) Week
UEG Week is the premier venue for researchers from across the globe to present their latest research, combining world-class scientific research, invited lectures by leading minds in gastroenterology and an excellent Postgraduate Teaching Programme.
Alzheimer's Association International Conference
The Alzheimer’s Association International Conference was set to take place in Amsterdam in July, welcoming 7,000 delegates to the city. Instead the Alzheimer Center Amsterdam took the event online.
2019 EVENTS
European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress 2019
The European Hematology Association (EHA) Congress is the world’s most comprehensive European haematology event of the year. In 2019 the 24th EHA Annual meeting was organised at RAI Amsterdam. More than 11,000 haematology professionals and hundreds of exhibitors were present.
International Broadcasting Convention 2019
The International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) is the world's most influential media, entertainment and technology show. Since 1992, RAI Amsterdam has been welcoming this prestigious event every September, which attracts around 55,000 visitors a year from more than 170 countries. Companies from all over the world come together annually at RAI Amsterdam to showcase their innovative products to a wide audience.
2018 EVENTS
International AIDS Conference 2018
In July 2018 we had the privilege to host the 22nd International Aids Conference in our beautiful city. It proved to be a fantastic success.
