Startup visa facilitators in Amsterdam

Startups wishing to obtain a startup visa must first work together with a facilitator or mentor. These facilitators provide startups with a support package that is specific to the needs of the business. Support includes research and investment acquisition, marketing, help with operational management and more. There are many facilitators in Amsterdam who can provide all this support. New developments are also helping facilitators and startups in Amsterdam. For instance, opening a business bank account in the Netherlands is now easier thanks to the Quick Scan Dutch Business Bank Account. This allows banks to determine your eligibility to open an account in as little as five days if you’re working with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency or another facilitator. The new Orange Carpet programme is also making it simpler to launch an innovative business in the Netherlands by removing some of the roadblocks that previously made the process more challenging and time-consuming.

Startup in Residence

This innovative collaboration between startups and the City of Amsterdam invites international and Dutch startups alike to think-up innovative solutions to social issues. At the beginning of their programme, Startup in Residence assign startups with a mentor that can help them most. The programme's lead mentors will also guide startups throughout.

THNK School of Creative Leadership

THNK's community consists of over 400 creative leaders, innovative enterprises and social-impact institutions. Their experienced mentors can give startups the push they need to reach success. Entrepreneurs who participate in the THNK Creative Leadership Program will automatically meet the majority of eligibility requirements for a Dutch startup visa.
