Curated auction platform Catawiki secures €150 million in growth equity

Offering more than 65,000 special objects every week, online marketplace Catawiki scored €150 million in a growth funding round led by private equity firm Permira.  Founded in 2008, the Amsterdam-based company attracts over 10 million users each month and employs inhouse experts to select art, jewellery, watches, classic cars and other items for auction on its platform. The funding will be used to pursue international growth as Catawiki works to become the world’s premiere destination for collectibles. 

Automated payment fintech Payaut receives €2.6 million in seed funding

Led by LocalGlobe with participation from Finch Capital and Entrée Capital, a seed funding round has raised €2.6 million for Payaut. This Amsterdam-based fintech offers an automated payment solution for online marketplaces and platforms that allows users to comply with PSD2 regulations while using numerous payment service providers. Currently, the platform is used by companies dealing with rentals, ticketing, healthcare and the sharing economy. The seed funding will be used to expand the local team and accelerate scaling; a rollout is already set for Germany and other European countries will follow.  

Cybersecurity scale-up EclecticIQ gets €20 million in Series C funding

EclecticIQ, a global threat intelligence, hunting and response technology provider, has raised €20 million in a Series C funding round led by cyber growth investor Ace Management. Having raised €47 million over the past four years, the company now rates as Europe’s best-funded global cybersecurity scale-up. The new money will help EclecticIQ pursue its expansion plans, which include Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, the US and the Middle East.
