Dutch-Polish startup Deko Eko, which is developing an upcycling platform with circular economy principles, has obtained around €234,000 in funding from the Simpact VC fund. The money will be used for implementing the platform on European markets.
The Amsterdam-based smart-mobility startup Etergo, which makes an innovative e-scooter, has raised €4 million through a crowdfunding drive on its own platform. According to Etergo, it attracted a record number of investors – more than 4,400. The funding will allow the company to begin production of its product, the AppScooter, early next year.
The cybersecurity startup IntSights has raised $30 million. The company, which is headquartered in New York and has offices in Amsterdam, Singapore, Tel Aviv and Tokyo, is developing a database that aggregates threat intelligence and provides tailored threat analyses. The round was led by Qumra Capital.
The Amsterdam-based online supermarket Picnic has raised €250 million to create an automated distribution centre. The amount is the largest ever to be raised by an Amsterdam startup, beating FinTech unicorn Adyen’s 2014 record of €227 million.
The digital library startup Scribd, which offers mobile e-book and audiobook subscription services, has raised $58 million in funding led by growth firm Spectrum Equity. Scribd is headquartered in San Francisco and has an Amsterdam office.
