Space for young companies to thrive in Amsterdam
In August, TNW will welcome members to its new hub in Amsterdam Westas, one of the city’s greenest districts, which focuses on sustainability and circularity. The space will allow the organisation, which was founded in 2006, to nearly double the size of its community in the Dutch capital.
As a tech media company, TNW (which was previously known as The Next Web) was created with the help of Google, Booking.com and ABN AMRO. It hosts events, provides office and desk space, and has helped create a vibrant community for entrepreneurs and startups.
Three locations for the tech community
The new space will be spread over 6,000 square metres and have 10 meeting rooms, two event spaces and 34 desks. Designed to meet the needs of fast-growing tech companies, it will offer parking, dining and 24/7 access to users, who may choose from several membership options.
Currently, TNW has two other locations: Amsterdam South and Amsterdam City, which is located on the historic Singel canal. On 1 and 2 October, it will host TNW2020, the 15th edition of its flagship conference. This year’s event will take place online due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and will involve around 25,000 participants from around the world.
