Providing Amsterdam's startups and SMEs with financial support
On 7 April 2020, the Dutch government announced that it had earmarked €100 million for bridging loans to support startups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs affected by the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Starting on 29 April, companies can apply to participate in the scheme, which is known as the ‘COL’ or Corona-Overbruggingslening (corona bridging loan).
Five organisations will process the applications, including the City of Amsterdam, and the money will be distributed by regional development boards across the Netherlands. In the capital, the Innovation Fund will be responsible for dispersing the loans.
Apply online through a digital portal
The digital portal for online applications will open at 09:00 on Wednesday, 29 April. Parties that are interested in applying should prepare by reviewing the detailed Q&A (in Dutch) and the documentation requirements (in Dutch).
For any additional questions, applicants can contact the COL advisory team in Noord-Holland at +31(0)85 0290 721 or email@example.com. The team can be reached Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 21:00, and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
