Startups, freelancers and entrepreneurs welcome

Via/Work, a new co-working space, has opened in Diemen-Zuid. It’s the only business of its kind in the area. Members will enjoy access to 126 desks spread over 42 fixed units, 20 flex desks and 35 offices. The building was designed by APTO Architects with help from Qi FRAME Collective and has a colourful, modern look that includes modern art, a wall covered in plants and hexagon-shaped booths equipped with desks. A hotel, Via Suites, and The Dude, a restaurant inspired by the 1998 film The Big Lebowski, are also located on-site.

Creating a community

The first tenant at Via/Work is Cleverbase, which provides users with a highly secure ID for logging in to different websites. Over time, Via/Work hopes to transform the space into a supportive community that serves as place to meet, network and share ideas. Users can access Via/Work 24/7 and furniture, cleaning, high-speed internet access and other services are included, along with use of a pantry and lounge. There are also 170 parking spaces available and Amsterdam’s city centre is only ten minutes away by metro.

Via/Work joins an expanding group of co-working spaces across Amsterdam, including Startup Village, Mindspace and WeWork, many of which cater to the tech industry. Read more business and startup news from around Amsterdam.
