Bringing women entrepreneurs to Amsterdam
TheNextWomen, a community for women professionals, investors and founders, is teaming up with several partners – including StartupAmsterdam, KLM and Hearst – to support women entrepreneurs through the TheNextWomen Female Founder Force. The programme, which takes place in Amsterdam from 11 to 13 December, is designed to help early stage startups establish connections, get feedback and gain exposure.
In the run-up to the event, 10 founders from Buenos Aires, Lisbon and Tel Aviv will pitch to an audience at the Dutch embassy in their city. One participant will be selected from each location to travel to Amsterdam for the grand finale, where she will compete alongside a representative from the Netherlands, who will be chosen at a semi-final in the capital taking place on 27 and 28 November. The winner will receive coaching through the EY Growth Navigator programme, a chance to join HearstLab and a year’s membership at TheNextWomen.
Access to a valuable and influential community
Simone Brummelhuis, founder of TheNextWomen, said in a statement: “Despite the fact that there are so many startup awards out there, over 150 female founders are applying for our pitch programme every year. The fact [is] that they see the value of our community of [the] most influential female entrepreneurs in the Netherlands to grow their business to the next level. The success stories of the previous finalists represent that perfectly.”
Female entrepreneurs wanting to take part in TheNextWomen Female Founder Force can apply until 5 November.
