Answering client demand in Amsterdam
In January 2020, sponsorship and marketing firm M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment will open a location in Amsterdam – the seventh of its international offices. The move is in response to increased client demand and the office will be co-headed by M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment business director Toan Ravenscroft and Jasper Hunter, a strategy director and the former head of M&C Saatchi London.
Generating big ideas that influence culture
Heineken will serve as the foundation client for the new M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment office in Amsterdam. The move also marks the first time M&C Saatchi Group – the firm’s parent company, which works with brands like Coca-Cola and Reebok – has had a presence in the Netherlands.
In a statement to PR Week, Ravenscroft said: “Amsterdam already sets the bar creatively, but we feel there is a real opportunity to bring our specialism and approach to brands based here and to create big ideas that influence culture.”
An internationally renowned creative industry
Over 200,000 people work in Amsterdam’s creative sector, which includes leading agencies like 72andSunny, 180 Kingsday and Wieden + Kennedy. Local universities and schools offer more than 30 programmes centred on the creative industries and the city has Europe’s fastest broadband speeds, making it easy to communicate and execute digitally focused projects.
