The city welcomes another world-class tech firm
Technology, product design and business strategy consultancy Made by Many has opened a new office in Amsterdam, which will serve as its new hub for continental Europe. The British digital consultancy has worked with some of the world’s biggest firms, including Nike, Finnair, the World Economic Forum and the BBC. It specialises in digital innovation and transformation, with a focus on digital product and app launches.
Bringing a decade’s worth of success to Amsterdam
In the last 12 years, Made by Many has built and launched 80 digital products across 14 countries. The move to Amsterdam is expected to create a number of jobs in the Dutch capital. Although the decision was partly influenced by Brexit, the expansion will serve to strengthen the company’s offering to its large European client base, better connect it with the international companies headquartered in Amsterdam and help it to develop a strong base in continental Europe.
Made by Many Founding Partner Tim Malbon said: “We see a huge opportunity in Europe, and a large proportion of our clients are based on the continent. Amsterdam is a logical choice: There are many large head offices of progressive and innovative companies in Amsterdam. And because of the open culture of the city and the country, we can reach the rest of Europe easily from here.
“We’ve built a great track record serving global corporate clients from London, and we believe a presence in Amsterdam will increase our reach, provide a more credible base from which to successfully serve our European clients and mitigate any risk posed by Brexit.”
Why businesses move to Amsterdam
Made by Many joins several companies that have recently made the move to the Dutch capital, including Avenue Code and TAB (The App Business). Well-connected logistically, digitally and socially, Amsterdam’s prime location puts London, Brussels, Dublin and other major cities within easy reach. Additionally, the local workforce is well educated and highly proficient in English. The city’s excellent quality of life has also made it an attractive destination to international talent.
