New arrival in Almere

Colorcon, a world-leading supplier of products and services for the pharmaceutical industry, will build a new production facility in the Stichtsekant business park. It will include offices, storage areas and production spaces and labs, with a view on further expanding the facility. Phase one of construction will commence at the end of 2019.

Founded in 1983, Colorcon provides pharmaceutical services and products, including coating systems for pills. The company also runs the Colorcon Academy, which provides professional training programmes designed to enhance technical knowledge and regulatory understanding.

The heart of Europe

David Bain, Colorcon’s managing director EMEA, says: “We chose this location in Almere, strategically located in the heart of Europe, to bring production closer to our customers.” The Stichtsekant business park benefits from a convenient location for businesses, with both Schiphol and the Port of Amsterdam just 30 minutes away. For Colorcon, the proximity to the Port of Rotterdam and to suppliers Tate & Lyle in Zaandam is of additional interest.
