Startup hubs from Lisbon to Amsterdam
Startup League, a startup support programme by Radix, one of the world’s largest portfolio registries for new domain extensions, is looking to sponsor 100 promising startups at this November’s Web Summit. On its campaign to recruit these startups, Startup League is travelling through Portugal, Spain, Germany and the Netherlands to meet rising early-stage businesses. This road trip lasts from 16 to 24 July and takes in seven crucial startup hubs: Lisbon, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Berlin, Munich and Amsterdam.
Fast-growing startup hub
Speaking about the campaign, Lenold Vaz, programme head at Startup League, said, “Europe is one of the fastest growing startup hubs globally. As per a report by venture firm Atomico, 19 billion US dollars was invested in European startups in 2017, a 32% increase from 2016. With an expansion as staggering as this, the tech and startup ecosystem in Europe offers a favourable ground for entrepreneurs to innovate and thrive. With the benefits that the Startup League offers, startups in this geography can greatly benefit and evolve to their growth stage more quickly.”
The Amsterdam meetup will take place on 23 July at StartDock Amsterdam. Amsterdam-based startups can register here for a chance to be one of the 100 businesses to be sponsored for the 2018 Web Summit 2018, taking place from 5 to 8 November in Lisbon. At a total of 10 events, Startup League expects to meet more than 1000 startups hopeful of winning sponsorship.
