Digital marketing in Amsterdam
Anchovy, a lead generation agency based in Malta and Dubai, has opened a new office in Amsterdam. The company was founded in 2013 by the brothers Benji and Zak Borg, with the goal of providing marketing and lead generation services to international clients.
As Anchovy explains, lead generation is a way of getting people interested in a company’s products or services, usually by means of interesting and relevant content on digital channels, for example a blog or video. Anchovy currently employs 42 people, and has worked with top brands such as Proctor & Gamble, Lufthansa, and Visa.
“Amsterdam is steeped in culture and breeds creativity,” Anchovy said in a press release. The city “blends classical avant-garde with the new, and its English-speaking community makes it more than irresistible to Anchovy.”
Anchovy will find itself in good company in Amsterdam, which is home to hundreds of advertising businesses, as well as global brands such as KLM, Philips, and Heineken. This helps explain why Amsterdam has such a thriving advertising and branding industry, featuring top agencies such as Wieden + Kennedy, JWT Amsterdam, TBWA, and Ogilvy Amsterdam.
With its combination of a laid-back lifestyle, creative ambition and innovative spirit, Amsterdam is a haven for creatives: the city is also an international hotspot for fashion, design, TV, music, app development, gaming, and more, all fuelled by the city's bustling startup scene. The beauty of Amsterdam’s historic city centre and its famous canals form a daily source of inspiration, and the city’s liberal, tolerant and free-spirited reputation attracts talent from all over the globe, making it one of the world’s most multicultural cities with 180 nationalities.
