Boston, San Francisco, and now AmsterdamThe consulting firm Sage Partners will begin offering its services in Amsterdam. Their new Dutch branch will specialize in helping small and medium-sized European businesses enter the US market.
Sage now works mainly from Boston and San Francisco, with 14 partners and 30 associates. The new European office will be led by Roland van Kralingen, a marketing expert, and Hugo van der Zee, a corporate lawyer, both of whom have been partners at Sage for ten years. Van Kralingen told the Dutch financial site FD that they will focus on companies in the medical technology, telecoms, and marketing sectors. He expects that they will advise about six Dutch companies per year.
In recent years, Sage Partners has helped various companies in Asia and the UK to start up their businesses in the US. This gave Van Kralingen and Van der Zee the idea to start a new branch that would advise Dutch (and other European) companies that want to launch their business in the USA, as reported by the Dutch media-news site Adformatie.
