Launchpad Meetups in Amsterdam during Tech Week

During Tech Week 2016, the third edition of Launchpad Meetups will be hosted on on May 24 & 25. Corporates can host Launchpad Meetups to discuss challenges with innovate startups: a concept designed by StartupAmsterdam in collaboration with TNW and EY. After the success of the 2015 editions with the likes of KLM, TomTom, Dell, Achmea, Philips and USG, the Launchpad Meetup concept is now ready to be even bigger. Join the Launchpad Meetups and become one of a corporate who embraces innovation and open their doors to the most promising startups! This Launchpad Meetup edition will be held prior to The Next Web conference, a technology conference attracting over 20.000 people to Amsterdam.

What is a Launchpad Meetup?

A corporate may organise a Launchpad Meetup in order to receive input from three young, innovative companies (startups) specifically matched with the corporate’s (future) challenge. The partners behind the Launchpad Meetups provide guidance to ensure a successful Meetup. Erik Visser, Business Developer at Oracle Benelux, a former Launchpad Meetup participant reflects: “We organised a Launchpad Meetup because we were looking for interesting startups specialising in Big Data in Retail  from a business development perspective. We are happy with the outcome and are currently exploring the best collaboration options together with startup 904labs.” Another example is  Launchpad Meetup partner EY’s collaboration with Declaree. The goal of a Meetup is to inspire the challenge holder and his/her colleagues, as well as to open the door for future collaboration with startups.

Why should a corporate join?

A Launchpad Meetup offers an efficient and easy opportunity for corporates to get in touch with promising startups which could prove highly relevant to the company. A Meetup allows for an intimate setting, as opposed to large scale pitch events themed around a set topic. A Launchpad Meetup enables tailor-made input for the corporate. In this way, foundations for (future) partnerships are laid, the corporate is promoted in the startup community and, in doing so, connects the company’s brand image to innovation
