A&E Television Networks

One of the latest arrivals is the American media company A&E Networks, which has just opened a new office in Amsterdam to serve the Benelux region. A&E runs television channels and networks such as The History Channel, Lifetime, and Viceland.

It will join many other media companies in Amsterdam’s flourishing creative sector, such as Netflix, Endemol, and Eyeworks. Shows such as Big Brother and The Voice were developed here.

Amsterdam an IT capital

Companies in tech and IT are also increasingly choosing for Amsterdam. The California-based Mirapath, which specializes in data centres and engineering, recently announced that it will be opening its first European office here. “The opening of the new European office marks a tremendous milestone for Mirapath,” said Mirapath CEO Doris Yeh. “It reinforces our commitment to deliver value to our customers anywhere in the world through well built, scalable infrastructure.” Mirapath designs and manages infrastructure for companies such as Cisco, HP, Tesla, Pandora, and Google.

Another recent arrival is Bullhorn, an American company that provides CRM (customer relationship management) software for businesses. Bullhorn’s new office in Amsterdam, which opened on 6 September, will support the company’s existing EMEA operations, and help drive future expansion across other key European markets.

As Bullhorn’s international managing director Peter Linas said, “The Netherlands is not only a key strategic market for us, it’s also a perfect hub in terms of access to Western Europe as a whole.” Founded in Boston in 1999, Bullhorn first came to Europe in 2009 with the launch of its international headquarters in London.
