Extending European business from Amsterdam
The company announced the news on its website. In the statement, MapR also announces that the company has signed a partnership agreement with the Netherlands-based software development specialist Anchormen to broaden consulting and MapR training services here.
From its new base in Amsterdam, MapR aims to better serve their existing customers in the Benelux region. Moreover, the company plans to use its Amsterdam location to gain market share in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area is an optimal base from which organisations such as MapR can enter or expand into the EMEA region. The Netherlands is renowned for its open economy and for strongly supporting international trade. And thanks to the Amsterdam Area’s strategic geographical location, the region has always been a major transit hub for people, goods, capital and services. What’s more, the Amsterdam Area is very well connected digitally. The region is home to the Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX), which is one of the world’s largest digital exchange platforms and renowned for its reliability, quality and low costs.
