A perfect Oosterpark location, steeped in historyThe new Gen Amsterdam hostel is set to open in March of 2016, and will accommodate up to 566 guests. Generator currently has ten hostels in nine European cities, with plans for 15 by 2018.
The new building will add two floors with glass walls, and will also feature a luxury penthouse apartment for six guests. The ground floor will include a lobby, a café with a terrace, and an outdoor seating area overlooking the park. There will also be a lounge and bar area, and the former university library will become a quiet relaxation area that can double as a private meeting space.
