Leader in lubricants
Tide Water Oil specialises in the manufacturing of petroleum oils and greases for automotive and industrial applications. It manufactures and markets the Veedol brand of lubricants in 126 countries around the globe.
Gateway to Europe
In the Indian newspaper The Hindu Business Line, the firm’s managing director Rajendra Nath Ghosal says of the establishment of the Amsterdam office that ‘arrangements have been finalised with a distribution and logistic company for Germany, Austria and Switzerland’. Strategically located in Amsterdam, the new office will spearhead Tide Water Oil’s northern European re-entry into the market, the Indian news outlet confirms.
Tide Water Oil joins a large pool of Indian companies that are already doing business from the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. Over the last five years, the number of Indian companies in the area has tripled, creating over 2,000 new jobs. Today, more than 70 Indian firms are active in the area.
Due to Amsterdam’s strategic location in the heart of one of the world’s highest concentrations of approximately 2,000 multinational companies, many Indian firms find their client base is within the immediate vicinity.
Excellent access to markets
Moreover, the Amsterdam Area is an internationally oriented environment, which is reinforced by the presence of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. From here, the rest of the world is never far away. KLM offers daily flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Amsterdam, alongside direct flights to more than 90 countries. All crucial business destinations within Europe can be reached within just two hours, making Amsterdam a true Gateway to the rest of Europe.
