In March 2014, Dio Implant will open its European headquarters for Marketing & Sales in Amstelveen.
Aiming for international growth
The municipality of Amstelveen proudly published the news on its website (in Dutch). As well as its dental implants, Dio Implant manufactures other medical implants and also exports its products to 70 countries around the globe. In its new office in Amstelveen, the company aims to launch with seven employees and to grow to 15 employees in 2015. By choosing to set up an office in Amstelveen, Dio Implant joins more than 2,500 other international companies that already do business in the Amsterdam Area. The area is very attractive for companies in the Life Sciences sector to establish an office. For instance, Amsterdam is one of Europe’s major financial centres and home to many dedicated service providers specialising in legal, regulatory services and market access for the Life Sciences sector.
Amsterdam Area: at the heart of the Life Sciences sector
2013 saw continued growth in the number of Red Life Science companies in the Amsterdam Area, in part due to the increasingly ageing global population and new healthy living developments. Overall, 12 new companies established offices in the region in the past year, creating 312 jobs.
