US firm Splash will launch its EMEA operations with a new office in Amsterdam, helping it to better serve regional and multinational companies using its event management platform.
Splash lands in Amsterdam
US event marketing company Splash is launching its EMEA operations with a regional headquarters in Amsterdam.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in New York, the firm provides an online tool for brands to develop in-person, virtual and hybrid event programmes.
Its growing global customer base means it will expand operations to the EMEA market, and base its new team in Amsterdam, where it can serve customers including Amsterdam-based companies such as Adyen, Mollie and Salesforce. A new data centre in Frankfurt, Germany, will enable the company to meet GDPR requirements.
Splash CEO Eric Holmen said the international expansion is a “milestone moment” for the company. A press announcement said Splash selected Amsterdam as its European headquarters due to its central location and proximity to countries where the majority of the company’s regional customers are based.
Greg Higgins, general manager Europe, will oversee the EMEA expansion. He said: “We are invested in the success of our regional and multinational customers located in EMEA. Their ability to rely on a partner who understands and can meet their different needs is critical to that success, especially when it comes to data privacy and global regulation compliance.”
Top connectivity and digital infrastructure
The Amsterdam Area has one of the best digital infrastructures in Europe, as well as fast and reliable connections to the rest of the continent, making it an easy and effective location for growing tech companies. It also boasts a well-educated talent pool in a country where more than 90% of the population speaks English.
Outside of the office, the Dutch capital is considered one of Europe’s most liveable cities boasting a top ranked work-life balance.
