Mach49 helps corporations to execute venture building projects. Its European expansion meets a high demand for transformation and digitisation in the wake of the pandemic.
Mach49 expands to Amsterdam
Silicon Valley company Mach49 is opening an office in Amsterdam as it bolsters its presence in Europe.
The Californian company is a corporate innovation consultancy helping businesses to create new opportunities for growth and innovation, such as building their own startups in-house.
Mach49 said it is responding to growing demand in the region from large companies wanting to transform and digitise in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Its Amsterdam base will also help it further support EU clients including Schneider Electric and Shell.
Linda Yates, founder and CEO of Mach49, said: “It’s no secret the European corporate ecosystem is on an upswing, and European companies have the resources, ideas, talent, and customer base to beat the startups at their own game to drive meaningful growth.”
Nils Beers, founder and former CEO of Amsterdam-based startup incubator TechLeap, is joining Mach49 to set up the new office.
Spirit of innovation
In Amsterdam, innovative enterprises are in the right place - there are a multitude of networks to get involved in, a highly skilled talent pool and opportunities for partnerships and investment to grow a startup.
Pioneers like bunq, Adyen and Mollie started here and have since become unicorns. In addition, last month, Amsterdam ranked fifth in the European tech cities of the future study, which assesses cities on foreign direct investment, startup environment and innovation.
