Working in healthcare and childcare: in-person information event

The session will provide insights about job opportunities in healthcare and childcare in the Netherlands, and about the options for people with and without experience in the sector. There will also be information about a further, in-depth introduction programme. 

Event programme 

- Introduction to the regional healthcare sector 

- Recognition of diplomas and the BIG register 

- Information about the in-depth Orientation Programme Healthcare and Social Care, a part-time programme for internationals both with and without a medical background. (This further programme is held in Dutch, with level B2 required) 

- Introduction to the childcare sector 

- Options for learning Dutch 

- Q&A: ask the experts, learn about coaching sessions and meet like-minded internationals 

This English-language event for internationals is organised by IN Amsterdam and Sigra, Transferpunt Zorg (House of Skills), the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), ROC van Amsterdam and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in cooperation with the Regional Work Centre RWC Groot-Amsterdam.
