Plastic soup is an international problem. Legislation, such as the Single Used Plastic Ban, deposit on small bottles and Extended Producer Responsibility, therefore forces the industry to adapt production methods in the coming years. All packaging must be recyclable by 2030.

To promote the application of new innovative and sustainable solutions, ABN Amro , Impact Hub Amsterdam and TNW link innovations to companies during the Impact Nation program. On August 26, these organisations will do this live at CIRCL with various experts in the field of plastics and packaging. During the event, the prganisers will cover three strategies to deal with the plastic problem and associated innovations:

1. Less plastic: like design strategies that require less plastic material

2. Better plastic: designed for reuse including return logistics

3. No plastic: biobased or other alternative materials, omit packaging.
