Collaborating for smart city developments

Given the Netherlands’ position at the forefront of the transition to a circular economy, the trip – which Amsterdam Trade helped plan – is expected to give way to some exciting collaborations. In fact, the goal of the trade mission is to further strengthen partnerships between the Dutch smart city ecosystem and organisations in New York.

The main themes of the delegation are circular building, circular urban development and urban mobility. To help present the Netherlands as the number-one innovator in these topics, Dutch companies will be showcasing their developments. So if you’re an innovative Dutch company or startup with a cutting-edge smart city solution, apply for the mission now.

An exciting programme

The delegation will be attending the coveted Smart Cities New York (SCNY) conference – the USA’s leading conference in highlighting smart city solutions to the problems many modern cities face. The companies joining the trade mission will have access to the conference and all its knowledge-packed workshops; they’ll also be part of its Holland Pavilion, where they’ll display their developments and innovations.

Smart city trade mission (Amsterdam and the Netherlands) to New York

In addition, the Dutch companies will take part in pitching and networking events – as well as New York company and site visits. Naturally, there will be networking opportunities galore – all organised by the Dutch Consulate General in New York.
